Hi, I'm Scott Redmond of Redmond Rods. I’ve been building custom fishing rods for over 10 years. I enjoy both the artistic
side of the craft through which I can design unique rod handles and thread wraps and the mechanical side that inspires me
to push the envelope for better rod performance.
I build custom rods in all weights and sizes including custom
fly rods, custom spinning rods, custom casting rods and even a few ice fishing rods. Projects range from ultra-light crappie
rods with Tennessee handles to hardcore bass fishing and walleye rods.
custom rod I make undergoes significant thought, planning and care. I build rods one at a time, to order, and take pride in
Personally, I enjoy fly fishing, spin fishing
and bait cast fishing. As a Wisconsin resident, I’m blessed with an impressive freshwater fishery. This state
has more than 10,000 miles of trout creeks, streams and rivers and I thoroughly enjoy the tranquility of exploring these waters
with a fly rod in hand. Lake Michigan and its tributaries are just a few miles to the East providing a unique opportunity
to fish for brown trout, steelhead, coho and chinook. And with more than 15,000 lakes, there is plenty of water holding bass,
walleye, northern pike, musky, crappie, bluegill and more. I only wish I had more time to spend on the water!
Please feel free to contact me to discuss your custom project. I look forward
to working with you
